David J. Rowe

David is responsible for Market Truths’ computing capabilities, including the Web site, Web surveys, and virtual worlds programming.

Prior to joining Market Truths in 2002, David spent thirteen years in programming and project management roles developing high-technology GPS (Global Positioning System) products for land surveying, Geographic Information Systems, and construction machinery at Trimble Navigation New Zealand Ltd (formerly Datacom Software Research).

Before that, he worked for two and a half years as a scientist in the Division of Information Technology in the New Zealand Government’s Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) — the names of these departments have since changed — developing and applying image processing and remote sensing software.

David graduated from the University of Canterbury^Ext with a Bachelor of Engineering (1st Class Honors) and Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and also a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He was also awarded a University Prize in the Faculty of Engineering.

He’s a member of the IEEE^Ext (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) and the  IEEE Computer Society^Ext.
