Phone surveys are a fast and relatively inexpensive way to get answers to a few short, simple questions. Responses to phone surveys may be unreliable when questions are numerous or complicated. When using the results of phone surveys to make decisions, it’s important to bear in mind that people who are available to answer phone surveys often differ demographically (age, income, etc.) from those who are not, and those who are willing to answer phone surveys often differ psychographically (attitudes, lifestyle, etc.).
